School Games Summer Olympics ………
On Wednesday, our rounder’s team travelled to Hereford Leisure Centre, along with nearly 2,000 other children to compete at the County’s School Games Summer Olympics. Year 6 Show ………
On Tuesday & Wednesday evening, over 100 children from schools across the Federation performed in ‘Annie’ at The Courtyard Theatre. It was a fantastic show and the Year 6s from Llangrove did us proud – singing their hearts out and compèring like professionals. Well done everyone!
Swimming ………
Key Stage Two’s swimming lessons concluded with a very exciting gala on Tuesday. All the children participated in a variety of races. Tag woggle, swimming holding hands and pushing a ball along with the head were amongst the fun and unusual races. Congratulations to Garron house, who emerged as the gala champions.
Keeping Fit at Llangrove…
Our Tarzan Trail has been treated to resurfacing this week along with a wonderful new addition of pull up bars; purchased with PTFA fundraising money. As you can see from the photo, the children love them. J
School Games Rounders Tournament…
On Wednesday, our rounders team travelled to Ross Rugby grounds to play in the Ross-on-Wye qualifier for the Herefordshire Summer School Games. We won our game against St. Joseph’s Primary (5.5-4.5) and won against Walford Primary (5.5-4.5). We drew our matches with Goodrich and Lea Primary schools. To go with their story in English, Acorn Class had great fun making gingerbread men this week. They followed the recipe very carefully and decorated them beautifully with icing. What yummy looking gingerbread men !
