The PTFA held their AGM on the 23rd of November and regret to announce they are currently without a chairperson. Sadly the PTFA cannot function until a full committee is appointed.
The roles of secretary and treasurer have been filled.
The PTFA supports many school events both financially and in manpower. Over the last year this has included:
• A huge contribution towards the new outdoor classroom.
• Dictionaries, thesauruses and story books.
• Classroom rugs
• Sports day gazebos, ice lollies, strawberries and
• Subsidies for school trips and buses.
• Helping with school fundraising
(BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief)
• Discos
• May Fayre stalls / bouncy castle
• Pantomime tickets for all pupils
• Crackers and Christmas decorations for the Christmas meal
• Created Santa’s grotto for our reindeer visit
• Assisting Father Christmas with his visits and gifts
All these things help make school life at Llangrove CE Academy educational but great fun too! Without the fundraising many of these would not have been possible.
We have many willing helpers for events but unless we are able to find a new Chairperson (which can be a shared role) there can be no further spending or fundraising.
