Hay Festival

AHAYYear 3 and Oak Class had a great day yesterday enjoying the first day of the 30th Hay Festival. Our day started with a talk & scientific explanations from ‘How to be a Scientist’ by Steve Mould (scientist and TV presenter). We then spent an hour with Ali Sparkes, who read extracts from her new book ‘Thunder Struck’. Our final session was with poet John Dougherty with a theme of ‘Dinosaurs & Dinner Ladies’. The hour long session was a mixture of poetry and songs being streamed live across 200 schools in Wales.
