Match report by Oscar ……..
On Tuesday pupils from year 2, 3 & 4 took part in the HMFA federation football tournament. Llangrove’s first match was against Lord Scudamore, in which they won 2-1. It was a very close match though!
One of the next matches was against Sutton School. We played very well and so did Sutton but it ended with Llangrove 4 Sutton 0. Next was Scudamore again and we won 1-0. It was close though – and it was a friendly.
The most exciting match was the semi-final. It was 2-2 so then it went to extra-time. Again the score was 2-2 so then it went to penalties! Kings Caple took first and scored but we scored too! Again they scored and so did we! The next one we saved and then scored! It was 3-2 to us (in the shoot-out). Again it was saved by us but our shot narrowly missed. Finally the result was 4-2.
We played the final on the big pitch. It was against Lord Scudamore. We narrowly lost but it was great fun. The winners of the tournament were Lord Scudamore.
