 Yesterday we had a lovely new shiny textile bank delivered (now situated by the main gates). It has been supplied by BTR Ltd (a Bristol based firm). As before any money raised through the recycling scheme is shared between the School Council and school funds.
The following items can be donated: Please can any items placed in the bin be in tied plastic bags. We will continue to have the cardboard collection bin in school if you have large bags to donate. Thank you for continuing to support this important recycling & fund raising scheme. As the children learnt in assembly yesterday · 1.5 million tonnes a year of unwanted clothing ends up in landfill. · At least 50% of the textiles we throw away are recyclable; however the proportion of textiles reused or recycled in the UK is only around 25%. |
