World Book Day is on Thursday 1st March

As always we would love for the children to come to school dressed as a character from their favourite fictional or non-fictional book.

This year we would like to introduce a new idea…Dress a Potato as a Book Character – Story Spuds! Your child can do this as well as dressing up. We can’t wait to see what creative ideas they come up with and we hope you will enjoy making them.  

There will also be a Bring & Buy Stall on the day. If your child or you have any books at home you would like to donate please bring them into school. Children will then be able to buy the books at break time, lunchtime and the end of the school day.  We are planning to price the books at 10p, 20p and 50p. 

On the day each child will receive a ‘World Book Day £1 Voucher which your child can exchange at your local booksellers and swap it for one of the TEN exclusive, new and completely free books.

Or, if they’d prefer, they can use the book token to get £1 off any full price book or audio book, that’s fine too! It’s your choice, just as long as the book or audio book costs at least £2.99. Then all YOU have to do is sit down and enjoy the read. Please note The World Book Day book tokens are valid until Sunday 25th March 2017.
