We would like to encourage all parents to become involved with the education of their children, as the benefit for all concerned is great.
In Years 1–6, children are given spellings to learn each week in preparation for a weekly spelling test. In addition, pupils are given certain tasks to complete at home e.g. learning poetry/songs, obtaining information etc. Â
If the child is having real difficulty, or becomes distressed, we ask parents to let us know, rather than persisting, as we need to know when the child has not understood the work set.
