Acorn Class created wolves from clay. This has been inspired by ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. The children also focussed on the forest setting of the story and painted some settings of their own.
Beech Class have been developing their 4 and 8 point compass skills; using them to help us find objects in the classroom before writing directions for ‘exploring’ their letter islands.
Oak Class have been using their compass skills, as well as developing grid reference skills, when looking at maps of Llangrove (using online Digimaps).
In science this week, Y3 & Oak Class investigated how sugar and bacteria create acid. Then measured the sugar amounts found in fizzy and non-fizzy drinks- considering how the sugar levels would affect our teeth.
