Acorn Class This Week ………

Acorn Class have been learning all about the United Kingdom this week. We have been locating the UK on a map, looking at the countries within the UK and matching the flag to the countries. In todays Celebration Collective Worship Acorn class showed the fantastic planets they had designed and created from paper mache,

Beech Class Scientists ……..

In Science  Beech Class have been investigating which magnets are the strongest as well as making paperclips ‘magically’ hover.

Oak Class in the Zone !

Oak Class have taken inspiration from Jackson Pollock’s drip paintings to create a piece of artwork that focuses on a sasquatch and the emotions it is feeling. We used music to help get us in ‘the zone’.

The Last Supper ……

As part of our RE focus of ‘Salvation’, Oak Class today took part in a Seder meal. With the aid of Reverend Ben, we learnt about the symbolic nature of the foods and followed the meal sequence that Jesus would have followed at The Last Supper. The food certainly divided the crowd!

Multi-Skills Stars ……….

Yesterday, Acorn Class went to a Multi-skills festival at Hereford Leisure Centre. Alongside eight other schools from the HMFA Federation, they enjoyed a very active morning, participating in a wide range of running, jumping, throwing, catching, balancing and chasing games. The children thoroughly enjoyed the experience, working hard improving their sporting skills!

Llanwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry
