Swimming ………

Key Stage Two’s swimming lessons concluded with a very exciting gala on Tuesday. All the children participated in a variety of races. Tag woggle, swimming holding hands and pushing a ball along with the head were amongst the fun and unusual races. Congratulations to Garron house, who emerged as the gala champions.
Sports Day…

The children have been practising for our Sports Day next Friday and are very excited. We look forward to seeing you there. Musical Medley ……..

On Wednesday the children were treated to a musical medley from Mr Jones, our peripatetic music teacher. Mr Jones offers clarinet, flute and drums to pupils in year 3 onwards. This Week in Beech Class ……….

Beech Class are thoroughly enthralled with our class story ‘The Iron Man’. Year 2 have begun building their own Iron Man, with the help of Mrs. Howie and all the children are suitably proud of their charcoal and chalk Iron Man portraits which are now on display in the classroom.

Volcanoes …..

As their ‘exit’ to our topic Where The Wild Things Are, Beech Class this week created information posters to share all they have learnt about volcanoes with the school. Their volcano shape poems are now also on display in the main corridor.

Acorn Class have been learning all about animals this week. We have been naming animal body parts and making our own bizarre beasts mixing up different animal’s body parts!
