School Closure

Due to heavy snow, the very cold temperatures forecast overnight and dangerous driving conditions Llangrove CE Academy will be closed tomorrow, Monday 11 December 2017.

Outstanding SIAMS Inspection….

Following the publication of our recent SIAMS inspection – which I hope you enjoyed reading –  I’m sure you were all, as were we, extremely proud of the children’s achievements and felt that the report reflected our caring and nurturing school ethos.The report is now also available on our school website.

This Week in Oak Class ……….

Oak Class have used their knowledge of electrical circuits to investigate electrical conductors and insulators. We also tested the effectiveness of different conductors by setting up an experiment that recorded the decibels of a buzzer.

Beech Class This Week …….

Beech Class have investigated the rigidity of different materials in Science this week, measuring results and using bar graphs to record our findings. In computing we put into practise all that we’ve learnt about algorithms and instructions. ‘What’s the Time Mr Wolf’ ? in Acorn Class this Week

This week in Acorn Class we have been learning to tell the time. We have looked at o’clock and half past and used our own clocks to show different times. We drew clocks on the playground and even had a game of ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf?’!

Road Closed !

Part of the road from Llangrove to Whitchurch will be closed for up to 7days – starting on Monday 27th November. We haven’t been given any more specfic information at this stage. We will inform you when we do.

HMFA Netball Tournament ….

On Thursday a group of Oak class pupils visited Lord Scudamore Academy for a netball tournament.  Katie and William scored somefantastic goals but the team narrowly missed out to Scudamore and Kings Caple. Well done to all the team for their determination and polite play on the court.

Children in Need………

We were delighted to see all of the children dressed up as ‘what they aspire to be’ today. Thank you for all of your donations, and an extra thank you to Lily for selling her wonderful cakes. We have raised over £175 so far.
