Following the publication of our recent SIAMS inspection – which I hope you enjoyed reading –  I’m sure you were all, as were we, extremely proud of the children’s achievements and felt that the report reflected our caring and nurturing school ethos.The report is now also available on our school website.
TONIGHT !!! Quiz night and Children’s Film Night…
We look forward to seeing you at tonight’s quiz and film night and seeing who will be taking home the trophy? Food served from 6.30pm. Quiz starts at 7pm. All welcome.
This Week in Oak Class ……….
Oak Class have used their knowledge of electrical circuits to investigate electrical conductors and insulators. We also tested the effectiveness of different conductors by setting up an experiment that recorded the decibels of a buzzer.
Oak Class this Week …
Oak Class’ Moon Buggies are well into production. We have experimented with series circuits that we wish to use and then used hacksaws and chisels to create grooves into which we will place the battery and other component parts.
Cool Hair Created in Oak Class this Week ……..
Oak Class children have been learning about static electricity and have investigated the factors that affect its strength. Oh, and we made our hair look really cool in the process.
Oak Class ……
Oak Class is continuing their work on ‘space’ by looking at the space race between USA & USSR. We identified all the modern countries that once made up the USSR and then researched the key ‘first’ achievements of each ‘Superpower’. We even tested ourselves on the spelling of Kyrgyzstan!
