This Week in Class ……..

Acorn Class: This week we have been looking at the Muslim festival of Eid ul Fitr. We have been learning all about the celebration that takes place at the end of Ramadan and have even had a go at making our very own ‘Happy Eid’ cards.

Beech Class: Continuing the children’s research about their chosen countries we discussed and predicted, as a class, which countries were closest to or furthest away from England. The children drew their own flags of their countries and then ordered themselves according to their predictions.
The children have also been focusing on the upcoming World Cup and have each been allocated a country to research and support throughout the competition. We looked at creating our own Acrostic poems centred around the words ‘World Cup’.

Oak Class have been looking at Islamic Calligraphy. We looked at some examples and watched a video of a calligrapher. We translated what God meant to us into Arabic and started our own calligraphy pieces.
